NaNoWriMo 2012 - Day 12
The Dime
Don't look for day 11. There is no day 11. That was our 1-year anniversary of marriage, and while I eked out a few words in the early morn, I released myself from the onus of anything major. We had a very simple day; went to the MIA, went to a movie, went out to dinner.

Today I had a day off from work. My husband had a 9am work meeting. And the internet was out. All this conspired together to mean that I now have 21,176 words. That's right, I wrote over 5,000 words today. I am flabbergasted. The majority of it chronicles a character's escape from the burning district, which was caused by the surprise explosion I threw in the mix after I hit a road block. Someone said "blow something up", and I did. And it has made things INTERESTING.

I could maybe push more out today, but part of why it was so successful is because I knew what I needed to happen, even if I was still fleshing out the details. Now, I've exhausted my knowledge of 'what next', and I need to replenish before I begin again. I am in a good place, though - slightly over expectation, but far from able to rest on my laurels.

Onward, friends!

Thank you! We definitely have riddles in the mix, but I think I'll keep my characters running for the moment, mainly because I don't have the answers yet. :P
