The Dime
Now it was my mother's turn to forward me an e-mail. I took it much better than the previous one I received from my grandmother. Maybe because I have a better relationship overall with my Mom, maybe it's because she knows me better, maybe because the e-mail subject was stress, and not 'the good old days' Some of the points where cheesy and cliche, but some I really enjoyed. Thought I'd share a few:

3. Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.

5. If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

9. Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.

10. Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.

11. The second mouse gets the cheese.

15. Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

So yeah, a very different flavor of post than the last time I commented on e-mail forwards from my family.

You're right, though- the tone is completely different. Tongue in cheek, and accepting of one's own flaws, celebrating them even.
