What would be the plural of Mary?

This is, assuming you mean "people named Mary" and not, for example, "works of art depicting the mother of Jesus", in which case I'd say, "Madonnas" or something like that.

Exactly. I just worry that the word "Marys" would be read "Maris"

Or Maries, which is completely different.

I want it to be "Maryot." But Mary is Greek, isn't it? In Hebrew, it would be, what, "Miryam"? In which case the plural is "Miryot."

So, yeah. "Marys."

If you really had that many women named Mary standing around to make it necessary to use the plural...I am thinking the plural would just be "Nuns."
