Caligula
The Dime

That is one very... er, um, unique movie? I mean, decadence and perversion for all walks of life. Overtly pornographic? Disturbingly true to the era? I'm kinda at a lost for words. It was grotesque, to say the least, in a way that was mesmerizing.

And I guess now I can say at parties "Oh yes, I've seen Caligula."

Wow, I agree...

Mesmerizing is the exact right word. Yes, it is revolting in parts, erotic in parts, repugnant in parts....but on a whole, I liked it. Fits under the heading that everything is worth experiencing once. I also tend to like movies that grab and shake you, and not necessarily in a positive way. Check out documentaries like "Sick" and "Crumb." Besides who can say they have seen that movie and not secretly wished they were one of the Ceasers!? No one, dat's who.
